AeroTEC’s Product Innovation Team provides comprehensive, full-service product development services.

The Product Innovation Team is responsible for developing, designing, creating, prototyping and manufacturing products to meet customer needs.

The Product Innovation Team provides expertise in hardware development and systems engineering.

We are looking for a skilled well-rounded Design Engineer that can work on wide variety of aerospace engineering problems and enjoys a challenge on a daily basis.

This job requires someone who can think critically on a variety of problems and is not afraid to take on tough problems with tight time lines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions): Design systems and components to support flight tests, special mission aircraft modifications, etc.

Evaluate the design requirements for customer projects.

Develop design schedules, coordinate, and manage low complexity projects with little or no supervision.

Delegate tasks to junior teammates.

Design products using CAD software (NX experience preferred) Perform basic strength and stress analysis as part of design process.

Support manufacturing and design activities by developing prototypes for products in development.

Assist manufacturing personnel with assembly and production of product.

Responsible for ensuring that project meets requirements of specifications and standards, while promoting error-proof assembly.

Create final reports and conformity documentation.

Level Requirements (Minimum): Education Four (4) year degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace).

Other Engineering fields may be considered.

Experience Minimum of 7 years Product design experience in aerospace engineering.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Travel (flying and driving) to various domestic and international worksites and client offices required.
