Supv, Production Operations – First shift

The Supervisor, Production Operations will be responsible for directing and supervising all activities for Manufacturing personnel , organizing workflows and analyzing the efficiency of manufacturing processes.

This position requires a high level of competency and comprehension of complex operations while optimizing day-to-day activities in an efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities: Direct the development and implementation of activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality, and cost objectives and communicate them effectively to employees.

Responsible for attendance, timekeeping, and adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply.

Develop schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas; guide and coach employees, monitoring their productivity Plan and administer procedures.

Must be willing to work off shift when required.

Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.

First shift: Mon-Thu.

6:00am-4:30pm Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Industrial Technology, Logistics required.

Equivalent experience or a combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Oracle, Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Strong organizational and leadership skills, together with a results-driven approach.

Ability to exercise a professional approach when communicating with customers, co-workers, peers, direct and indirect reports.

Self-motivated and an efficient problem solver.

Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools.

No travel is expected in this position.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus Essential Physical and Mental Qualifications: The employee must walk and stand for extended periods of time, lift up to 35 pounds without assistance on a repetitive basis and lift materials greater than 35 pounds with assistance.

Manual dexterity with hands and fingers is necessary to make quick, precisely coordinated movements to grasp, manipulate, and assemble very small objects on a consistent basis.

Must be able to frequently extend or reach with hands and arms while performing routine job functions including scanners, hand tools, power tools, and production equipment.

The job will require occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crouching.

Eye protection, respirators, and safety clothing will be required and supplied by the company in instances where there is exposure to safety hazards.

Employees may be exposed to solder fumes.

The job will require the employee to possess the ability to see and interpret instructions, warnings, safety hazards, colors, and procedures, the ability to hear alarms and pages, to listen for safety hazards, to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences in English, and the ability to communicate with peers through spoken and written words in English to complete job requirements.
