Production Worker 1

Direct Hire

1st. shift – 6 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., plus overtime and weekends

2nd shift – starts at 4 p.m.or 5 p.m., plus overtime and weekends

JOB SUMMARY: This position tends to special purpose loading and unloading materials. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned) • Move and/or assist moving material needed in production machines in an assigned production area. • Load and unload material in an assigned production machine(s) • Assemble glass packs • Other duties may be assigned. Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Education: H.S. diploma or GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience: 6-12 months experience in a similar role in manufacturing environment or equivalent experience in similar roles in a manufacturing environment. Experience in glass manufacturing desired.

Computer Skills: Basic PC skills Mathematical Abilities: Basic Math–Ability to read tape measure, and understand fractions and decimals. Analytical or Reasoning Abilities: Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions Communication Skills: (Writing, Foreign Language, Reasoning) Effective communication skills Other Skills (Technical, or Other special knowledge and abilities) Team oriented individual, flexible and adaptable to a continuous improvement environment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: • Ability stand, walk and/or sit for long periods of time • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT: • Must be able to work in a manufacturing/production shop environment as job duties require. May be exposed to loud operating machinery and hot/cold temperatures. • Use proper PPE as required per company policy
