Private Sectors Marketing Leader

Chicago Dallas Denver Los Angeles Minneapolis The Private Sectors Marketing Leader is a new role in our marketing system. You will create value for our 100 percent employee-owned firm by differentiating DLR Groups Hospitality, Mixed-Use, and Workplace design expertise. The Sector Marketing Leader will define and refine a clear value proposition for each sector. This role will lead a team to promote each sectors design acumen to attract, engage, convert, and retain prospects, clients, and talent, and support growth of sector market share. As part of annual business planning, the Sector Marketing Leader will plan, schedule, and lead a team to execute each sectors external marketing communications outreach and content strategy. We covet design thinking and desire someone with the creativity and courage to develop unique marketing solutions that singularly deliver and convey the value of our design and its impact on users, communities, and clients. The aim is simple. Capture the hearts and minds of target audiences to establish DLR Group as the leading design firm within each client vertical.

The Successful Candidate Will:

Monitor trends and have an innate understanding of a sector(s) 12-24-36 month performance and growth outlook in order to identify and validate new, breakthrough positioning and differentiation strategies with sector leadership. Manage and mentor a cross-functional marketing, media, and creative team to achieve brand awareness and maximize market impact, driving growth in alignment with sector business plan initiatives. Develop annual sector(s) marketing communications plan, content strategy, and calendar including multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns, client-facing award programs, project storytelling and marketing asset management. Master a creative vision for sector-based content marketing across the firms digital and print channels, elevating storytelling through compelling forms of media. Lead development of storytelling and manage sector page/content at dlrgroup.com. Establish and measure KPIs to track the impact of sector-based marketing campaigns and components therein. Analyze, review, and report on effectiveness of these efforts to maximize results. Ensure that all direct reports receive consistent onboarding, performance reviews, and career plans.

Collaborate with:

Global Sector Leaders and National Business Development Leaders to align marketing activities and outcomes with business plan goals Other Marketing Leaders to maximize the impact of cross-functional campaigns, information, and materials Pursuit Leader to ensure that materials created are leveraged during convert stage of business development (RFP, etc.), and to leverage materials created by proposal teams that support sector marketing goals Digital team to promote campaigns and initiatives on digital platforms or with emerging media methods Required

Qualifications:

Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, or similar 8+ years of experience with progressive responsibilities in a Marketing, Brand, or Communications department, preferably in the AEC or design industry Track record of tying marketing activity and measurable outcomes to established business objectives Deep understanding of content marketing strategy and best practices for its effective execution Strategic thinking, ability to breakdown complex issues into sizeable actionable pieces Action-oriented, with a knack for managing multiple tasks for multiple interests. Strong project and people management skills Proven ability to thrive under multiple concurrent deadlines with agility and ease, master of prioritization to maintain focus on established strategic direction Growth mindset: desire to continually improve processes and outcomes

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially InDesign; proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint and Teams; familiarity with information gathering from a database, Deltek Vision preferred DLR Group is an integrated design firm delivering architecture, engineering, interiors, planning, and building optimization for new construction, renovation, and adaptive reuse.
