Job Purpose:
We are looking for a logistics expert to join our growing Ocean Export team. You will be expected to use strong customer service skills, high attention to detail, and superior organization to exceed customer expectations in coordinating daily operations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare commercial documents and bills of ladings to support export operations
- Track and trace shipments from departure to arrival, alerting clients and management accordingly
- Execute daily customer / vendor SOP requirements to ensure necessary document and processes are followed
- Respond to customer orders, inquires, invoice questions, and other correspondence timely and professionally
- Maintain shipment system data and document integrity for client web tracking purposes
- All other tasks as assigned by the Ocean Operations Manager
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to manage time and priorities wisely to address customer’s changing needs in a fast-paced working environment
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable using computers and new software
Education and Experience:
- 3+ years in temperature-controlled logistics
- Experience using CargoWise
- Knowledge of ocean export processes and regulations
- Proficient in MS Office Suites, including Outlook
Physical Requirements:
- Sit at a desk for extended periods of time
- Using a keyboard, mouse, and computer
