Solar Permit Technician

Competitive Pay + Benefits ***Residential Solar***Position Summary The Permit Technician is responsible for submitting for and obtaining building permits from local jurisdictions. They will interface in-house designers and city officials, working with them to prep and review all paperwork and drawings necessary to receive building permits and resolve objections related to Building, Zoning and Planning Departments as needed. This position will involve travelling across the region to submit permit paperwork and plans in person at the various jurisdictions.Job Duties/ResponsibilitiesAssist the Permit Coordinator and administrators on the permitting processRecord and understand technical corrections as it pertains to permittingWork constructively and effectively with various jurisdictionsProcess 5 6 permit packages on a daily basis, fill out applications as neededDrop off and Pick up of HOA formsTravel 90% of time in company issued vehicleMaintain a clean and acceptable driving record on and off the job.Practice safe driving habitsQualification RequirementsExcellent organizational and interpersonal skillsExcellent office and computer skills with Word and ExcelStrong attention to detail while producing accurate and high-quality workExperience interfacing with municipality electrical and building departmentsMust possess a Valid driver’s license, be 21 or older, and a passable background checkCompletely tech savvyPhysical demands and abilitiesRegularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlesslyRegularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objectsRegularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet awayRegularly speak clearly so listeners can understandRegularly understand the speech of another personRegularly DriveFrequently work in on projects that require deadlinesFrequently bend to file and maintain filesHigh PriorityFreedom Forever is an equal opportunity employer.
