Solutions Architect – Information Technology

Overview Acuitys innovation group, called the Technology Solutions Group (TSG), is looking for a savvy, pre-sales IT Solutions Architect (SA) with a unique combination of business, technical, and design expertise to represent our IT professional services company.

The SA uses deep technical expertise to understand and solve challenging business problems through the conceptualization, design, and development of innovative technology solutions.

The SA will be responsible for conceptualizing modernized systems, designing new applications, and documenting migration strategies either at the IT enterprise, organization, or office level for U.S.

government agencies.

Responsibilities Collaborate with business development reps, teaming partners, technology vendors, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and convert challenges, insights and ideas into compelling technical approaches and technical solution architectural diagrams.

Facilitate business and technical design activities across the pre-sales lifecycle (capture and proposal phases) as the problem-solving engine to shape the technical, staffing and pricing solutions for our competitive pursuits.

Support BD lifecycle activities such as gate reviews, capability matrices, staffing and pricing discussions, color reviews, tech/coding challenge advisory, orals deck preparations, and coaching to SMEs.

Analyze and select the best technical solution among all possible options to solve the existing business problems.

Apply software development and computer engineering experience to conceptualize and design solutions with current and emerging IT technologies.

Lead the design of technical solutions or approaches and define the corresponding features, phases, and solution requirements.

Provide solution specifications based on how it should be defined, managed, and delivered.

Advise Acuity clients and prospective clients on application development, cloud, data, platform and digital transformation challenges.

Educate and influence stakeholders and engineering teams on effective IT solutions and best practices.

Remain abreast of regulatory and compliance requirements in order to drive successful governance strategies.

Additional Duties, as bandwidth allows Research and develop proof of concepts, prototypes and demos for client, conferences, and industry events.

Contribute to technical white papers, marketing collateral and Communities of Interests events.

Provides advisory support to active engagements for architecture reviews, technology design reviews, and best practices consultation.

Qualifications 5 years of relevant engineering and consulting experience in an Agile/Scrum environment and is well-regarded among peers.

Must have experience with federal proposals and understand the interconnectivity of Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements.

Understands and can clearly communicate IT development patterns, frameworks and practices to business and technical stakeholders alike.

Strong ability or promising growth potential to communicate and present complex information to technical and non-technical stakeholders, with proficiency in multiple methods of visual communication, proposal writing, and oral delivery.

Yearns to pass along knowledge to the next generation of technologists and could be seen actively participating in technical communities.

Highly Desired: Experience supporting sales/business development teams in client facing meetings, presentations, and written responses for government procurements.

Clearance Requirements: US Citizen and ability to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
