They are approachable, engaging, and can adapt to various working styles while conveying a solid understanding of All Day Kitchens standards. Shift Leads are responsible for leading shifts as the main point of kitchen leadership. This position reports to the Kitchen General Manager and Training Specialist. Core competencies: Models reliability, quality, cleanliness, and consistency Receives feedback well and improves performance accordingly Effective communicator. Leads their team to be successful during their shift. Detail oriented with inventory and waste management Flexible availability and open to picking up shifts when needed Required Skills Provides clear direction and delegation to operate a smooth shift Professional and respectful with all who enter the kitchen Provides positive and constructive feedback to the team Patient and empathetic with new crew members Ensures crew members understand the daily goals during their shifts; supports and coaches them to achieve these Clean and well organized Experience with delivery orders or using electronic order screens.
