In this vital role you will report to the Above Brand/Thought Leadership Director.
This Sr.
Manager role will operate in a dynamic segment of our business and will require an individual with seasoned marketing capabilities, analytical skills, cross-functional and collaboration skills, and highly effective influencing skills.
The Sr.
Manager will support multiple US V&A above brand and thought leadership activities and will lead the Biosimilar Thought Leadership initiative, which includes the annual US Biosimilar Trends Report program.
Key Responsibilities include: Setting and implementing marketing strategies for US Value Marketing including: Identifying key opportunities to develop and drive completion of Above Brand/Thought Leadership tactical initiatives to differentiate and elevate Amgen among a variety of customer partners Partnering closely with US V&A leadership, brand leads (across multiple therapeutic areas) and cross-functional partners to define priorities, identify success metrics and develop strategy & tactics for high-impact programs Driving US thought leader engagements, working closely with different functions across Amgen Establishing and maintaining relationships at a high level of engagement with key customer segments, societies, and associations Partnering with market research and cross functional partners to generate deep payer customer, competitive, and marketplace insights and translate them into defined actions Developing processes for accurate measurement and evaluation of appropriate marketing activities Effectively managing agency partners to produce results within timelines and allocated budget Developing and implementing tools/resources to effectively communicate key messages to diverse internal and external audiences Supporting and leading coordination with internal partners, including Legal, Regulatory and Compliance; facilitate the review of marketing materials via the Materials Approval and Compliance (MAC) process Working closely with field teams (including Market Access Team and HOPE Team) to support and solicit input; effectively rolling out and training relevant field teams on programs and materials as appropriate Additional responsibilities may include (but are not limited to) budget coordination, internal and external thought leader management, managing key payor Congress memberships and sponsorships, social media development and deployment Win What we expect of you We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients.
The marketing professional we seek is a Sr.
Manager with these qualifications.
Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree & 2 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience, OR Masters degree & 4 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience, OR Bachelors degree & 6 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience OR Associates Degree & 10 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 12 years of marketing, sales management and/or payer experience Preferred Qualifications MBA or PharmD Good understanding of US Healthcare System and key partners Good understanding of biosimilars and the US biosimilar marketplace, including key partners and current market dynamics Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analyze existing and future competitive positions by considering market and industry trends Track record of increasing responsibility within marketing Ability to translate market research findings into practical insights and tactical plans Ability to lead and influence cross functional teams with diverse backgrounds Written, analytical and oral communication skills Possess strong organizational and time management skills; delivers on commitments in a timely manner Self-starter, ability to work under limited supervision and coordinate multiple projects.
