For more information on what we are about as a company, check us out by following the link below: DescriptionThe Food Safety and Quality Assurance Supervisor provides proactive leadership in developing, implementing, and monitoring company quality and food safety strategy and related requirements, policies, procedures and training. The position serves as the lead for the venue’s Loss Prevention Coordinator’s team, regulatory requirements, internal audits, and regulatory inspections. The role monitors and maintains data on all equipment maintenance procedures including repairs, replacements and maintenance performed in the venue in collaboration with the Culinary, Operations and Warehouse department. Role and Responsibilities; Drive a culture of food safety and quality assurance. Motivate, lead, and direct the food safety and quality assurance department. Provides direct leadership in all aspects of food and work-place safety in day-to-day Production Kitchen operations while ensuring safety is always a priority that is fully in place and being supported by the operations team. Develop and revise FSQA SOPs to ensure food quality and workplace safety. Monitor and update FSQA Program to provide continuous improvement Coordinate and perform, with the assistance from venue’s Loss Prevention Coordinator’s team, training sessions, inspections as applicable, and follow up action plans on the following:o Health Department and Everclean sanitation standards and inspection violation resolution in timely fashiono Local health department and Everclean action plans to document all of the violations, ensuring the violations are followed up on and completedo Claims reporting procedures and assist managers in proper completion of the accident forms (team member, Guest and the Food Borne Illness Reports) and claims reportingo OSHA standards and communicate these standards to the Loss Prevention Coordinator’s team, filling out the OSHA logs and ensure they are updatedo How to properly work on QRE (safety lesson, safety walk through, Health Code Questionnaire and all of the other areas)o Staff accountability for ensuring use of personal protective equipment such as cut resistant gloves, tub gloves, slip resistant shoes and making sure they are following proper food and sanitation practiceso Coordinate ServSafe sessions and certification processo Creating a safety team at the property to help assist them with proper safety and sanitation practiceso Making sure the proper Safety Data Sheets are at each location, chemical inventories are done monthly, first aid kits are fully stocked and a bloodborne pathogens kit at each first aid kito Ensuring cleaning schedules are done nightly. If staff isn’t turning in a cleaning check list daily, hold that staff member accountable Conduct a monthly meeting with Business Leaders such as VPHS of Operations, Director of Operations and SVP-Risk Management and Sanitation to review all activities conduct during the month Walk with Local Health Department and Everclean during inspections. Assist Human Resources as a facilitator with sanitation basics for all new hires, NFP’s and temp’s and conduct annual retraining for all returning staff. Ensures proper record keeping and organization of all required safety and sanitation paperwork, as well as all food licenses are current and posted in FOH areas. Ensures all TPHC plans and menus for the location are submitted and approved with the Local Health Department for compliance in the program and maintained throughout the year as menus change. Conducts daily walkthroughs and inspections of all food service areas during events to ensure there are no Health Department and Everclean violations and all required food temperature logs are properly completed. Conducts regular walkthroughs and audits of all food service areas during non-event days to ensure no OSHA, Health Department. and Everclean violations. Provide recaps and feedback to VPHS/DO, Executive Chef and working with department managers to ensure solutions to action items needed. Maintains and updates Equipment records in regards to repairs, replacements, maintenance and corresponding costs, in collaboration with the Culinary and Warehouse departments Providing recaps and feedback to VPHS/ DO and Executive Chef to ensure any building maintenance issues are addressed. Ensures Monthly Cleaning Schedules are appropriate and maintained, working with Coordinate training, as needed, with local health Department.Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Five or more years in Food Safety and Quality Assurance and /or Foodservice operations combined experience. Problem-solving, critical-thinking, and experience analytical skills including root cause analysis, risk assessment and corrective/preventive action Solid communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast paced, flexible work environment. Ability to compile, analyze, and present data Minimum 3 years of people management experience People leadership and ability to influence cross functionally are critical Experience building auditing programs, designing QMS systems, and utilizing technology such as SharePoint is preferred.
