We are currently seeking an experienced wine/beverage director to build the program at our latest Los Angeles-based concept– an upscale homage to the classic Italian-American restaurant. Set to launch in Summer of 2022, La Dolce Vita is so steeped in Hollywood lore that it once could name Frank Sinatra as both investor, and biggest fan. With perfectly executed food and a nostalgic chic interior, hospitality and service will lead the way for an entirely new generation to call it theirs.
Job Overview:
The Wine Director is responsible for curating the wine program and training the staff accordingly. Staff training & educational duties should include analysis of service staff hospitality & service levels, wine knowledge and best practices. Successful candidates should expect to work floor shifts and participate in day-to-day management of the team.
Other Responsibilities Will Include:
-Maintain wine cost under or equivalent to current budget guidelines
-Assist in maintaining expenses and monthly inventories
-Maintain knowledge of P.O.S. system and make updates when needed
-Produce wine orders
-Check to make sure that proper equipment and necessary working stock is available to staff prior to the start of their shift
-In collaboration with PR / Marketing, actively find ways to market our brand and program
-Actively participate in the international wine community and attend events and conferences in order to further spread the messaging for the brand.
Base salary plus a commission structure!
*We would also consider a Beverage Director with a wine focus for a higher salary rate.
