The Pharmacy Account Director is a consultative, client facing partner dedicated to an extremely complex, highly visible account, with highly complex custom contractual requirements.
Primary point of contact for the overall contract & strategic relationship and functions as Team Lead, indirectly overseeing the designated account team/resources comprised associates from multiple departments.
Responsible for overall profitability exhibiting senior level business acumen with executive presence.
How you will make an impact:Cultivates client relationships with key decision makers including VP/C-Suite level and National Pharmacy Practice leaders.Manages account with a focus on client trend management, long-term account strategy, and partners with IRX AM Director for overall service excellence, client satisfaction, and highly escalated client issue resolution.Assist in the development of recommendations and consults with client on benefits, utilization, cost drivers, recommendations for outcomes-based savings, new product offerings, and market/industry trends including articulating the operational, clinical, and financial value of our programs.Influences clients to adopt new programs driving improved benefit for members and financial position for client.Responsible/accountable for account growth targets, retention, and upsell targets to optimize margin opportunity and assist in meeting internal health plan penetration goals.Collaborates with internal partners on finance/underwriting and negotiates pricing strategies/contract rebates that are mutually beneficial.Owns management/execution of client contractual requirements/obligations, performance guarantees, terms, compliance, and audit reconciliation.Participates in sales preparation and finalist meeting if necessary.Provide ongoing support to regional decision makers and support PBM field sales team during RFP processes.Assist operations in developing key therapeutic programs based on earnings potential.Mentors and coaches designated Account Team for overall client experience and execution excellence.
Qualifications Minimum Requirements:Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.
