DescriptionBack Office Technician / Optometric AssistantWork Schedule: Weekdays with Saturday Performs a variety of patient care, office, and laboratory duties.

Prepares patients for examination and assists other optical professionals in providing treatment to the eyes.Correctly summarizes and documents what the physician during an examination.Charts the examination documenting additions to the chief complaint, assessment, and recommendations for treatment.Collect and document the patient’s chief complaint.Verify the patient’s ocular, medical, and medications health historyBasic Visual Acuity (VA) assessment.Intraocular pressure (IOP) test with a Tonopen unit.Topical ophthalmic and dilation medications.TFundus photos.Visual Field (VF) test.Flourescein Angiogram (FA) procedure.Indocyanine Green Angiography (ICG) procedure.Refraction.RequiredHigh school diploma, GED or equivalent.At least one (1) year of medical experience.Preferred:COA or COTExperience in the Ophthalmic or Optometric Industry.
