Location: RemoteThe Biostatistician Sr.

role is responsible for conducting statistical analysis for the HealthCore research team.How you will make an impact: Analyzes healthcare claims and clinical data using accepted statistical and biostatistical techniques, outlined and supervised by senior biostatisticians.

Prepares and/or reviews detailed specifications for study databases and analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures; communicates requirements to the programming group Manipulates and creates complex datasets Investigates, analyzes, and evaluates complex statistical/programming issues, and to implement data quality assurance plans; collaborates and/or communicates with internal teams, data management and clients regarding these issues.

Summarizes results of requested analysis in table and graphic format.

Meets with senior biostatisticians to discuss statistical analysis plan, priorities and provide feedback.

Plans statistical programming activities and schedules to provide project team with guidance on data management and analysis timelines for projects.

Responds to ad hoc client requests to ensure accurate, in-depth results/data are delivered in a timely manner.

Prepares research results and written summaries to internal teams or clients, and for journal publications; Participates in the writing of manuscripts, especially Statistical Method and Result sections.

Supports initiatives to improve efficiency and standardization in research analytics.

Provides technical/analytical advice to staff.

Support the design and execution of pharmacoepidemiology research, including post-authorization safety, risk mitigation, and active monitoring studies.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Requires a Masters degree in related field and 8-10 years experience in statistical modeling, data analysis and experimental design, or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Qualification Proficiency in Statistical Analysis System such as SAS or R preferred.

Experience with Instant Health Data tool preferred.

Experience with health plan administrative databases (pharmacy and medical claims) and/or other big datasets is preferred Experience conducting health services research with experience in biostatistics or epidemiology, managed care, healthcare systems or related experience is preferred Experience generating advanced models leveraging techniques such as machine learning/predictive modeling If this job is assigned to any Government Business Division entity, the applicant and incumbent fall under a `sensitive position’ work designation and may be subject to additional requirements beyond those associates outside Government Business Divisions.
