Live What you will do The WS1 UEM (iOS/Mac) Automation Architect will play a vital role in the overall delivery of the enterprise device management tools, capabilities, functions, and features for Digital Workplace Experience Group focusing on Apple Operating System devices (Mac OS/iOS/iPad OS).
This will include the design, architecture and management of the end user computing platform (Workspace One, Intune, JAMF), deriving and maintaining technology standards based on industry best practices, contributing to the technology roadmap management, and proposing and developing new solutions based on business strategy.
This role will also be responsible for creating/migrating the Automation Workflows for endpoints by leveraging Amgen Automation Platform such as Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere or vRO.
They will work directly with Amgen key stakeholder, technology vendors and the internal Amgen teams to leverage both existing portfolio solutions and new product capabilities for optimal end user compute service delivery.
This role will proactively work with the collaboration and engagement with the IS and business process teams in delivering best practice solutions based on business & industry best practices to drive device management innovation and stability.

Key Responsibilities include: Responsible for Driving all the Engineering efforts for Mac OS, iOS and iPad OS.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert on improving business value from Amgens device technology.
Defining, establishing, and maintaining Short-term and Long-term Strategy and roadmaps for device modalities iOS, iPad OS and Mac OS.
Responsible for improving onboarding Experience for Apple Devices.
Define, architect, operate, and maintain the platforms and processes that enable the end user computing environment for Apple Operating Systems from Workspace One, Intune and JAMF.
Responsible for creating/migrating the Automation Workflows for endpoints by leveraging Amgen Automation Platform such as Power Automate, UiPath, Automation Anywhere or vRO.
Responsible for improving Mac Out of Box Provisioning Process and Developing Wipe and Load Capabilities to Improve the Security posture on Mac.
Responsible for fulfillment of any internal and external audit commitment for Mobile/Mac devices.
Work with Information Security Team to improve Mobile/Mac Security Posture in the Environment.
Define architectural solutions by conducting business reviews, current scenarios and implementing industry leading standards into the environment and in collaboration with operations, enablement, and enterprise architecture.
Defining and creating the next generation unified endpoint management platforms and processes (Modern Device/Unified Endpoint Management).
Delivery of hardware standards for current need, as well as a deep understanding of enterprise IT to guide the team in the proper direction with new device selection.
Will also provide quantitative feedback and testing on new devices (Mac, iOS) in the marketplace, to ensure alignment with compliance and audit requirements.
Establishing and maintaining the systems, tools, policies, and processes required to deploy and support application and workforce services to end user devices across the enterprise.
Collaborate with other Information Technology groups in requirements gathering and procurement of end user computing devices, to include Systems Administration, Security Administration, Network Administration and IT Field Services.
Identify, monitor, publish, and manage critical metrics to show improvements in stability, usage, and efficiency.
Interact with end users and business leaders cross-functionally to ensure that business use cases are well understood and documented Develop strong vendor relationships, leveraging beta and user feedback forums where available, providing technical oversight of device vendors and monitoring their roadmaps.
Escalation of open tickets and requests with vendors Actively participate in high priority outages, troubleshooting efforts, and capacity/availability planning sessions Lead strategic IS projects and initiatives.
Basic Qualifications Doctorate degree Masters degree and 3 years of Information Systems experience Bachelors degree and 5 years of Information Systems experience Associate degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience 3 Years of Managing Mac and iOS devices at Enterprise Level with WS1 or JAMF or Intune AND 2 Years of experience in Restful Services and API consumptions.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in managing global service and technology delivery within enterprises with more than 30,000 iOS devices and 2000 Mac Devices.
Experience with driving technology delivery using various Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies
– Agile, DevOps, traditional waterfall, iterative etc.
Intune/Workspace One/JAMF/Mass360 experience for Device Management Experience with Intune MAM with or without enrolment.
Very good understanding of Apple Azure Federation and Apple Business Manager Well versed with VMWare Intelligence, Hub Services, VMWare access.
Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Management with Airwatch/Intune/JAMF Experience on Restful API consumption with POSTMAN /Workspace One / WS1 Intelligence API Good understanding of IAM solutions from Okta/Ping and Azure AD.
Good understanding of Device Trust and Conditional Access Solution from Microsoft, Okta and VMWare Well versed with Desktop and App Virtualization Technologies (AWS Workspace, AppV etc) Good understanding Microsoft 365 and EMS Suite Products.
