This position reports to the EHS Business Performance Director.

The successful candidate will be leading the Business Performance team responsible for: Serving as the Business Process Owner (BPO) for Amgens EHS incident tracking system.

Accountable for designing effective and efficient processes, using the right skills and financial and technical resources to run the process, and delivering quality outcomes as required within the organization.

The BPO functions as a system Subject Matter Expert, serves as a system administrator and provides technical assistance, including correction of data entry errors for stakeholders as needed.

The responsibilities include data management and potential enhancements, creating test scripts and partnering with IS to ensure successful implementation of the program.

Maintaining/developing systems to support delivery of Amgen and Contractor injury rate metrics that can be tailored to meet the needs of our stakeholders, including benchmarking with peers.

Strong analytical and data interpretive skills.

Focus on Continuous Improvement (CI), Operational Excellence (OPEX) and Lean Manufacturing, including improvement opportunities, efficiencies, productivity, and reducing rework and waste through the use and application of continuous improvement tools, techniques, and methodologies.

Effective data analysis and data insights that lead to actions that increase efficiency and reliability.

Providing oversight for Tableau visualization of EHS data used to drive management decisions and actions.

Ensuring data integrity of recordable injuries and regulatory contact inspection/NOV data to support the monthly reporting process.

Developing updates to executive management on the health of EHS processes and systems across Amgen, including but not limited to Management Review presentations, Corporate Responsibility and Compliance Committee (CRCC) memos/talking points, and monthly reports.

Supporting staff interface with other Amgen systems required to conduct business including but not limited to SharePoint administration and ownership, MyAmgen reporting page, the controlled document management system, and the learning management system.

Serving as Site Collection Administrators (SCA) for EHS SharePoint site collections and helping drive the annual audit for compliance and attestation process.

Maintaining the EHS training course development roadmap, including budgeting and forecasting.

Supporting the development of the Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) report by assembling data validation documents with other EHS stakeholders as needed.

Works with EHS leaders to ensure the documentation is appropriate for benchmarking.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 2 years of directly related experience Or Masters degree and 6 years of directly related experience Or Bachelors degree and 8 years of directly related experience Or Associates degree and 10 years of directly related experience Or High school diploma / GED and 12 years of directly related experience And 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in a Science or Engineering program and 6 years of directly related experience Bachelors degree in a Science or Engineering program and 8 years of directly related experiences EHS background and knowledge of EHS Management Systems is a plus Conversant across multiple EHS subject areas Uses a management system approach to drive continuous improvement Leadership experience and effective team-work capabilities Ability to work independently, balancing multiple activities and set priorities Makes decisions easily within sphere of influence Microsoft Office skills (Excel subject matter expertise and PowerPoint); and Ability to work efficiently with a variety of databases including SharePoint, Tableau and Smartsheet.
