Shell Assistant Project Manager-GA

Overview: JOB TITLE: Shell Assistant Project Manager FLSA Exempt Primary Function The Shell Assistant Project Manager is responsible to assist in the overall management and successful completion of at least one project associated with divisions 3 (concrete) and 4 (masonry).

This includes but is not limited to workforce tracking, submittals, RFI’s, shop drawing approvals, updating SAP, procurement of material, invoice approval and is also responsible to assist with cost control, quality control, and safety.The Shell Assistant Project Manager reports to the Shell Project Manager I and may be responsible to oversee a project’s cost, schedule, contract administration, subcontract agreements, risks and human resources as the Shell is concerned.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities Assists his/her leader in managing the relationship among several project areas, such as engineering, procurement, construction and installation, risk analysis and administration.Monitors project performance and follows up on the implementation of necessary corrective measures.Responsible for maintenance and accessibility of project drawings, project photo files and daily logs.Creates meeting agendas and minutesManages petty cash account, expense reports and material request processes.Manages and maintains Purchase order requests and logsManages the Request for Information (RFI), Submittal and Shop Drawings processesResponsible for reviewing changes and modifications on project drawings and communicating them to the team.Assists with the management of the project’s shell schedule, it’s baseline and subsequent updates.Assists during subcontract agreement negotiations and, at any time, might have to lead such negotiations.Assists with the negotiation of change orders with the Owner and Subcontractors.

Responsible for maintaining the projects workforce control.Assists with reviewing monthly pay applications.Responsible for monthly subcontractor performance evaluations.

Responsible for submittals, daily reports, RFI’s, meeting minutes and safety reports associated with shell scope of work.Ensures that project procedures are consistent with corporate philosophy.Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.

Qualifications and Experience Minimum of One-year work experience in the construction industry, preferably in division 3 and 4 with an engineering position.Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or a related field.Or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.Fluent in Spanish is preferable, but not mandatory.

Knowledge and Skills Ability to coordinate the interaction of all project functions, such as engineering, procurement, construction and installation, and risk analysis and administration in all kinds of contracts.Advanced knowledge of financial engineering options, including resources and/or financing available.Strong analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.Ability to supervise personnel.Excellent communication skills, with ability to express ideas clearly and objectively, orally and in writing.Fluency in Spanish preferred.Proficiency in MS Office, ProCore, AutoCAD and Microsoft Project 2016.Knowledge in Revit and Bluebeam preferred.
