CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE SPECIALIST (LOS ANGELES)Advanced Problem Solving (APS) seeks a talented individual based in the greater Los Angeles area to join our Customer Experience (CX) team.The successful candidate will be agile, meaning you can think on your feet and thrive in a fast-paced team environment. You must be smart but also patient and detail-oriented.You will represent our firm in multiple client meetings. You must have the highest character and integrity to do so successfully and satisfactorily.About APSAPS is an education technology firm.We serve a variety of clients, but especially fire and emergency service agencies, by providing them with cutting edge record-keeping tools, superior training content, and best-in-class customer support. This is reflected in our brand promises: “better platform, better content, better service.”You will work especially closely with our fire and emergency services clients.You, along with other members of the CX team (based around the country), will see to it that these extraordinary individuals always receive top-notch service. This means not simply responding to support requests but developing close relationships with them so that we understand, and then address, their constantly evolving needs.The CX team also coordinates closely with the APS Product Development and Instructional Design teams, providing them with deep insights into our clients.These complex relationships are why we place such a high value on the ability to function well in a team environment. Position descriptionThis is a hybrid position, with the majority of work to be performed remotely but also with the expectation of extensive in-person contact.APS has a distributed workforce, meaning that most of your work will be performed either from your home or from a co-working space (with expenses subsidized by the firm).At the same time, this is a Los Angeles-based position, meaning that you will be expected to meet in person with clients from across the greater Los Angeles area.While you will have considerable autonomy in establishing your work schedule, you should expect to assist in covering our support desk for a few hours each day and then working to develop”through email correspondence, Zoom meetings, phone calls, and onsite visits”a close working relationship with our clients.You will learn about them, help them to implement our products, and assist in training their personnel so that they can use these products effectively. To that end, you should expect to spend an average of at least one day each week traveling (in your own vehicle, with travel costs reimbursed by the firm) to meet with clients in Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino and Ventura Counties.Only in this way will you be able to establish the informal relationships that will allow us to truly understand their needs and see to it that they are deriving maximum benefit from our services.Position requirementsThis is an entry-level position.You will be trained and become competent to perform a series of increasingly complex tasks on behalf of our clients.That said, you must bring strong communication skills to the table, including the ability to explain complex subjects to non-technical end users.Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.Please consider how you will demonstrate these skills in your application package.
