A global trading company which specializes in factory automation equipment is looking for an Operations Assistant to support their warehouse in the Elk Grove Village, Illinois area.
This is a full-time and direct hire position.Responsibilities for the Operations Assistant Position: Keep accurate records and track inventory levels in company system(s)Shipping and receiving functionsStay informed of all matters related to forwarding, warehouse, personnel, and accountingPack items, print labels, weigh packages, and determine appropriate postage for shipmentsOrder scheduling / shipment planning and trackingWork at the office and a warehouse as assignedOther duties as assignedRequirements for the Operations Assistant Position:Minimum high school diploma or GED is requiredExperience in a related industry is preferable but not mandatoryAble to communicate fluently in both written and verbal EnglishStrong problem-solving skills and time management abilityThis position includes manufacturing and warehousing work environment.
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, lift in excess of 25 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear.
