Overview Assist in overseeing, instructing and coordinating activates of full-time/part-time OVG360/Spectra associates and security contractors.
In the absence of the Manger/Assistant: will have full responsibility for executing all Security Department daily functions including, but not limited to, working a variety of post and assignments, making sure all client needs are met, and may also receive functional event related instructions from the Event Manager(s), or general instructions from all other members of management.

In the absence of Manager/Assistant Manager, maintains strong communication with client throughout their event Conduct inspections of various security posts to ensure on-duty Security Officers are properly performing their assigned tasks Ensure compliance with established rules and regulations Assist in the recommendation, development and implementation of improvements to systems and procedures.
Frequently check fire and security system for proper operation Be able to troubleshoot security system and retrieve necessary information Operate and monitor control panels, alarms and related security equipment Provide leadership in the event of an emergency Assist in loss control procedures Assist in coordinating information flow from the Security Manager, Assistant Security Manager, Event Managers, etc.
to security and event staff personnel Supervise assigned shift activity, including reports and incidents, patrolling, dispatching, activity log, fire & safety system and all other activities during shift; ensure correct and orderly flow of event coverage from shift to shift Ensure that security and event staff personnel maintain high degree of visibility and professionalism by conducting shift briefings, uniform inspections; make periodic patrols to ensure standards are met Assist in investigations of security matters; conduct internal investigations relating to sensitive security issues while keeping all related matters confidential Monitor events and make related recommendations to Security Management, Event Manager or Manager on Duty Prepare and review of incident reports for adherence to established standards; take corrective measures when necessary In the absence of the Security Management, ensure that employee injury procedures are properly administered Patrol assigned facility; observe general public; guard property against fire, theft and damages; apply effective apprehension techniques as needed Check facilities and equipment for needed maintenance and repairs; recognize and report damage and safety hazards When working as Base Operator, ensure correct and orderly flow of event personnel from shift to shift; monitor and administer proper sign in/out policies; monitor security system and report abnormalities to Security Management; take action to resolve the situation(s) when needed; maintain detailed and accurate notes in the daily log book; properly brief relief officer of occurrences during assigned shift Assist Security Management in administering the facility’s emergency preparedness programs Provide general information, directions and assistance to facility guests Assist medical personnel by directing traffic, crowd control and securing needed equipment Communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing Assist Security Management in any other areas deemed applicable Qualifications Knowledge of fire and public safety regulations Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations Must have computer skills in Microsoft office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation, and internet software Ability to work effectively in a service oriented environment subject to frequently changing priorities Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team; must have a positive attitude Ability to analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and make recommendations for improvement to Security Management; implement approved recommendations in support of organizational objectives Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, contractors, facility users as well as local, state and federal law enforcement and life safety personnel Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in the English language, both orally and in writing Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, days, evenings, overnight, weekends, holidays, extended (long) work days and extended numbers of days Must be at least 18 years of age or older and be a legal citizen of the United States Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED
