Job Summary and Opportunity
The Business Development Officer is a critical component in the Commercial Bank business development strategy. Responsible for managing a portfolio of qualified middle market business prospects with annual sales between $10MM-$750MM.
Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of qualified middle market business prospects with annual sales between $10MM-$750MM
- Identifying, qualifying, and securing business opportunities; coordinating business generation activities; developing customized targeted sales strategies
- BDO is responsible for generating leads and developing new opportunities for both lending and deposit growth goals
- Schedule appointments with qualified business prospects on behalf of Commercial Bank Managers & Relationship Managers
- Research and evaluate prospective businesses for long-term financial viability and consistency with company credit policies and objectives
- Sell all Axos Bank products and ensure quarterly contact with C-level executives
- Identify, analyze, qualify and manage Commercial Bank Prospects with revenues in excess of $10 million
- Converting prospects into qualified referrals to Relationship Managers to solicit the business and close relationships
- Develop and grow a strategic program for assigned territories (In-Market, Adjacent States and Out of Footprint initiatives)
Requirements
- 5+ years’ cold calling experience; previous experience in an outbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience; knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
- Salesforce or CRM
- Lead generation and prospect management
- Persuasive and goal-oriented
- Professionally and confidently communicates with C-Level Executives
- Excellent analytical and time-management skills
- Demonstrated and proven sales results
- Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team
Preferred:
- Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent job experience
