Were one global team 47,000 strong driven by a common purpose to deliver a better world.Job Responsibilities:Foster a collaborative professional working relationship with Design and Technical Leadership, Practice Leaders and Discipline Leaders.Supervises the team of Project Managers in the architecture, interiors, planning, and engineering disciplines, as well as the architectural technical staffWork with the projects managers to ensure projects are managed to the highest quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.Participates in project financial reviews, helping the projects managers to ensure that internal reporting on project progress is accurate and timely, and is in accordance with AECOMs procedures.Serve as the Principal in Charge, Project Director, or Senior Project Manager on Major Projects (large, complex, and/or full multi-discipline commissions).Lead client relationships and play a major role in pursuit planning.Lead, mentor, and coach team members to grow their management expertise and client relationship skills.Lead and mentor emerging architectural technical staff towards licensure and related professional certificationsMembership and participation/engagement in business or industry organizations to increase/expand network, as well as visibility and awareness of personal expertise and the AECOM profile.Run internal staffing and resource meetings to coordinate and manage workload projectionsDevelop tools to reflect staffing concentrations (i.e. heat map) coordinated with project schedules and project financials, and monitor on a weekly basis.Work with the Capture Managers and Project Approvers in the development of appropriate scope and fees.Responsible for coordinating uniformly high production standards and/or monitoring projects to ensure that quality and technical production are met for all design and contract documents.Participates and monitors quality control reviews, including dedicated constructability reviewsMinimum RequirementsBachelors degree in Architecture or related discipline; or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.Minimum of 10 years of related experience in a large Architecture or Architecture/Engineering firm and be thoroughly familiar with the entire design and construction process, including planning and entitlements phases and 2+ years leadership experience.Licensure in Architecture or related technical disciplinePreferred Qualifications8+ years of experience acting in a leadership or management capacity.Working knowledge in relevant zoning and building codes, including local city and county codes, state building codes, accessibility compliance codes, etc.Experience in projects across multiple sectors, including both large or small-scale projects, both new construction and renovation, as well as alternative delivery models.Strong project management skills with a thorough understanding of project work plans, schedules, staffing, and budgets, and the relationship to project profitability.Additional professional certifications desired (LEED, DBIA, CDT, PMP, CASp, etc.)For licensed architects, NCARB registration preferred.For licensed engineers, NCEES registration preferred.Good working knowledge of sustainable and emerging technologies, integrated design, LEED, WELL, etc.Project Management Coursework through accredited institutions or professional organizationsLeadership Coursework through accredited institutions or professional organizations Additional Information:This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.What We OfferWe will give you the flexibility you need to do your best work with hybrid work options.
