17LIVE is building the future of streaming platforms. Your role as the Product owner of the Interactive Streaming team, is to own features and analysis which help drive better viewer and streamer experience on the video player platform. You will work with the team to reduce buffering or lag times, give helpful network diagnosis to streamers, and increase overall satisfaction of the 17LIVE live stream experience. 17LIVE is a live streaming app that is huge in Asia and growing in the US. We deliver new ways for people to stream and interact with each other. The engineering team for this role is based in Taiwan, so there will be evening hours expected. One of the challenges that is exciting for Product Managers is using one app for a global audience!
Key Responsibilities
Be the Product owner for the Interactive Streaming team which focuses on user experience for viewers and streamers via the video and player experience.
Manage the backlog and define priority of items
Manage sprints with the help of your Project Manager
Define quarterly team OKRs and KPIs as well as establish quarterly team roadmap
Bring a day to day viewpoint as well as an overall strategic look of growth and user retention.
Work with Data Analysts to identify and dig into product trends. Recommend features or experiments for development using a data-driven approach
Be the main driver of product features from inception to feature release/post-release, providing feedback frequently and timely
Produce and update game specs and user flows that contain the right level of detail while staying concise and easy to understand by the whole team
Communication: strong verbal & written communication skills. Able to articulate the “why” to drive team-wide alignment on product vision
Own features and drive the design and development of new features with the aid of project managers and engineers, ensuring quality and executional excellence
Make independent, data-driven decisions backed by previous experience and a firm grasp of the product vision
Collaborate with designers, data scientists, and user researchers to analyze patterns and trends and identify new product opportunities for engagement and retention
Solicit ideas and feedback, gather requirements, write product specs and workflows, and coordinate cross-functionally
Develop and thoroughly present go-forward recommendations
Experience
5+ years of relevant experience as a product manager
Experience working with entertainment products such as streaming services, video platforms or games.
Ability to leverage product analytics to run experiments on product features or configurations.
Ability to work well with remote development teams in various time zones and regions
A driven self-starter and a great teammate
Experience in start-up, consumer tech, or gaming is a plus
Preferred Qualifications and/or Skills:
Familiar with both mobile app and web development process
Having Agile/scrum experience
