Provide strategic and tactical legal advice to our business team to support WhatsApp central and business integrity, internal infra and privacy initiatives2. Serve as the companys subject matter expert on legal obligations related to online safety and integrity issues such as child safety, real world harm, and violation of our policies3. Support Legal and Public Policy teams engagement with regulators and legislators on safety & integrity issues4. Provide legal advice across many subject areas including data protection laws and regulations, intermediary liability, consumer protection laws, WhatsApp terms of service/policies, and other global legal frameworks applicable to WhatsApp5. Coordinate with public policy, communications, product management, engineering, product marketing, customer operations, and other cross-functional teams on safety & integrity matters, external communications, policy development, product development, and product launches6. Counsel on product development and regulatory issues related to a number of WhatsApp business initiatives7. Lead consensus-building and drive coordination with other members of the Legal team**Minimum Qualifications:** Minimum Qualifications:8. J.D. degree or equivalent, and membership in at least one U.S. state bar9. 5+ years of combined law firm and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies10. Experience with product, privacy or regulatory counseling related to the above subject areas11. Experience successfully taking on projects involving unfamiliar subject matters, and working effectively with cross-functional teams12. Experience developing approaches to legal challenges while providing business-focused legal advice13. Interpersonal skills with commitment to professionalism and collegiality14.
