– 16.20 /hr Salary Grade: 13 Summary of Responsibilities: To perform a variety of complex and confidential clerical and administrative duties in support of management in order to ensure the most timely, efficient and professional operations.

Qualifications/Education and Experience: Associates Degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Organizational Management, Community Development or related discipline; or three (3) years equivalent combination of education and related work experience considered.

Two to three years of secretarial/administrative assistant experience.

Requires advanced level knowledge of secretarial and administrative functions, including data entry, typing, filing, and business administration and mathematics functions.

Requires administrative, interpersonal, organizational, planning, problem solving and oral and written communications skills.

Responds to incoming telephone calls and mail, answering inquiries, accepting messages, and transferring calls as appropriate.

Supports management policies and procedures; cooperates with and supports other ABC employees; and works reliably and flexibly to meet departmental needs.

Arranges appointments, meeting, and conferences based on general guidelines.

Provides back up with coding recruitment applications for data entry department.

Requires strong proficiency with all Microsoft Office products -Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook: Bi-lingual capabilities English and Spanish is a plus.

Requires a valid NYS Drivers License, and access to reliable transportation.

Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations is a condition of employment.

All employees of ABC Early Childhood Services Division must receive and maintain a full clearance from the Justice Center of New York and the Office of Children and Family Services that allows them unsupervised contact with children.
