Strong product design is at our core where distinctive emotional yet cost effective style meet the latest in cutting edge technology.Role OverviewThe Vehicle Engineering & Integration team is looking for a technical expert to lead the ADAS & Functional Safety attribute for new EV passenger vehicles. This key role will be responsible for developing and setting system level and whole vehicle targets, development of integrated, optimized, and efficient vehicle concepts within the design & engineering teams, lead problem resolution activity and validate systems throughout the vehicle design & development process.Responsibilities* Support the planning and control team in developing Fisker Intelligent driving systems* Lead definition of driver perception from a user viewpoint* Support ADAS team in subsystem and component selection* Lead complete vehicle integration, verification, and validation of ADAS systems* Reporting development/test progress using Jira reporting systems* Lead complete vehicle functional safety implementation of advance driving systems* Innovate, develop best practices, and improve internal processes* Interpret test results, propose recommendations for improvement and how changes will make an impact* Document and present findings to cross-functional teams and engineering management* Support vehicle milestones attribute inputs at each project phase* Become the complete vehicle ADAS & FUSA key point of contact for Vehicle Engineering* Define quantitative metrics to measure product capabilities (KPI’s)* Support the systems safety analysis of integrated sensors and computer architecture* Support architecture development to derive fault tolerant systems* Develop a comprehensive subset of practices/analyzes methodologies to be integrated into our safety portfolio* Help set priorities for technical development based on a strategic assessment* Organize test events, internal and at external labs and proving grounds* Establishing & monitoring advance driver systems test requirementsRequirements* >7 years’ OEM product development experience of ADAS & Functional Safety* BS/MSc Degree in relevant engineering subject* Working knowledge FUSA (ISO 26262) and SOTIF processes* Good understanding of vehicle dynamics and vehicle control* Proven track record of ability to define, manage, deliver system & vehicle level safety targets* Good working knowledge of vehicle system functionality and electro/mechanical control strategy* Working experience of system/software development and automated driving feature testing* An understanding of simulation software such as CarMaker, Car Sim, VTD* Previous ADAS test experience, including instrumentation, data acquisition and data processing* Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills* Experience in leading cross-functional teams* Experienced in the Interpretation of customer quality data (e.g., JD Power)Preferred Skills / Experience / CompetencesDrive for Results: Drive for high performance, takes responsibility and works towards planning targets, overcoming obstacles, setbacks, and uncertainty.Business Acumen: Contribute to the company strategy and aligns the strategic priorities of own area with the direction and strategic priorities of the broader organization.Customer Centricity: Anticipates evolving customer needs and how to address them, doing the right thing in the right way.Decision Making: Makes timely, informed decisions that consider the facts, goals, constraints, and risks.Analytical Thinking: Gather relevant information, identify key issues, compare data from different sources; draw appropriate conclusions to arrive at appropriate solutions.Teamwork & Collaboration: Facilitates Collaboration, actively engaging and to make joint decision and share best practices.Displays Global Perspective: Conveys an understanding of the organization’s global market position, opportunities, capabilities, and competitive threats and takes cultural issues and geographic differences into account when making plans and decisions.Additional InformationMust be able to lift 25 lbs. unassisted, bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or runMust be willing to work overtime and on weekends where needed to meet deadlines and company goalsFisker Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment at Fisker Inc. is governed on the basis of merit, competence and qualifications and will not be influenced in any manner by race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, mental or physical disability or any other legally protected status.
