Bachmans was founded in 1885 and remains a family-owned business, with fifth-generation Bachman family members leading the company today.
Bachmans operates six full-service Floral, Gift & Garden Centers throughout the Twin Cities, gift shops in the Galleria, a Hardscapes Center in Farmington, and 28 floral departments within Lunds & Byerlys grocery stores.
Additionally, Bachmans operates indoor and outdoor landscaping divisions, a weddings and special events department, a wholesale nursery division, seven acres of greenhouses, and a 670-acre growing range in Lakeville, Minn., which produces many of the plants, flowers, and landscaping products sold by Bachmans today.
Job Duties: Do store divides in accordance with established procedures.
When asked assist with the training of Pricer/Packer I and Temp Agency employees.
Provide Warehouse Supervisor and Crew Leader with necessary information for held divides.
Warehouse processed merchandise, enter locations in the computer and make shelf labels.
Perform shelf and storage area condensing, straightening and organizing as necessary.
Pull and pack store orders.
Operate standard pallet jack and two-wheel dolly.
Load and unload trucks as needed.
Price merchandise in accordance with established pricing procedures and make price tags as needed.
Pack divides and orders.
Make shipping labels with the PC.
Take inventories as directed.
Assist the Warehouse Supervisor and the Shipping and Receiving Clerks with unpacking and sorting out incoming shipments.
Perform warehouse clean-up duties as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Capable of understanding, speaking and legibly writing the English language.
Minimum 16 years of age.
Capable of lifting and or moving up to 40 pounds on a regular basis and up to 60 pounds on an occasional basis.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to stand and/or walk for extended periods.
Capable of operating standard pallet jack and two-wheel dolly.
Capable of working in an environment with very minimal chemical fumes.
Good computer skills.
Good math skills.
