OverviewDiscovery is actively seeking an executive assistant to lead and assist the daily business operations. Theexecutive assistant is responsible for coordinating schedules, arranging meetings, and providing administrative support to the supervisor and department. This position will be located in our Century City, CA Office.ResponsibilitiesManage and maintain supervisor and department schedulesPrepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, and database softwareRead and review incoming memos, submissions, and reports in order to determine their significance and plan their distributionOpen, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including emailPrepare responses to correspondence containing routine inquiriesPerform general office duties such as ordering suppliesMake travel arrangements for supervisor and department staffPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedAnswer phones for multiple peoplePrepare presentations for meetingsQualificationsBS/BA in related discipline and at least 5-8 years of experience in related fieldApplies basic functional/technical and business knowledge of the organization’s operations, methods,and practicesLearns and applies foundational information/concepts in area of practiceAbility to adapt work pace and priorities in order to meet deadlines and goalsProficient working with Google SuiteStrong PC background, with demonstrated proficiency with WindowsStrong organizational skills with ability to act independently and responsiblyCapacity to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to work collaboratively with team membersAbility to work independently as well as in cross-functional groupsMust have the legal right to work in the United StatesThis employer is a corporate member ofmyGwork – LGBTQ+ professionals, the business community for LGBTQ+ professionals,students, inclusive employers & anyone who believes in workplace equality.
