The Role
AXS is looking for a talented and motivated Assistant Controller, Ticketing Operations who is responsible for our revenue control process from start to finish for North American operations.

This encompasses the review of the company’s financial transactions, sales contracts, and business practices.

The position reports to the Vice President of Financial Operations and works closely with the company’s Financial Controller.
What You’ll Do:
Identify revenue and cash control risk and implement control processes
Collaborate in the implementation of new contracts ensuring the completeness and accuracy of terms programmed in our ticket sales platforms
Perform periodic review of client contracts regarding rate changes, volume incentives and timely billing of all revenue triggering actions
Maintain relationships with merchant banks and other third-party payment providers
Assist with the implementation of merchant accounts to support new contracts signed
Maintain and enhance systems used to manage ticket sales and the settlement of ticket proceeds to our clients as well as our billing processes
Ensure timely and accurate billings and/or remittances to clients under each contract
Manage a team of financial analysts who perform settlement audit and billing calculations
Provide and update general ledger coding for all recorded transactions performed by the accounting staff
Confirm all revenue is recognized in the correct period, applicable accruals are recorded, and all liabilities relating to ticket sales are accurately reflected on the company’s books
Coordination with accounting, legal, business development and account management to ensure 100% satisfaction of all contractual responsibilities as it relates to all financial aspects of our client contracts
What You’ll Bring:
3+ years of controllership or similar revenue-focused accounting experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
CPA license is a plus
Strong understanding of GAAP
Pro-active, hands-on management approach and experience
Advanced Excel skills
Strong analytical, planning and communication skills
