Director of Strategic Initiatives (Remote Opportunity)

How you’ll make a difference:
As the Director of Strategic Initiatives you will guide cross-functional teams in the development, planning, and implementation of key strategic initiatives to create a clear, charted path to our desired enterprise outcomes.

Custom Ink is experiencing solid growth and we’re looking for the right person to support the development of our recently formed Strategic Initiatives function responsible for shepherding complex and/or cross functional efforts that are considered critical to our strategic health such as post M&A integration and multi year business planning via our PMO.

This position will report directly to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and will be on the frontlines of the most exciting areas of growth and expansion within the entire organization, helping to drive the business into new markets and towards ever-higher goals.

What you’ll do:
Leverage a deep understanding of operational processes and organizational ways of working to facilitate the development and execution of strategic initiatives (defined as complex and/or cross functional efforts that are considered critical to our strategic health)

Develop a clear line of sight into key milestones, interdependencies, and measures of success to spot opportunities for course correction

Identify execution risks and address them proactively (directly or indirectly)

Establish and facilitate strategic decision making protocols at the project and program level

Implement operating systems/ways of working that drive progress, provide transparency, and promote accountability

Demonstrate strong thought leadership acting as a champion for big picture thinking in our near term execution

Collaborate with the VP of Strategic Initiatives to establish the Strategic Initiatives function as a trusted, go-to thought partner within the organization

How you’ll be measured:
Cross functional clarity on strategic priorities

Pace of strategic execution and associated outcomes

Scalability of tools, processes, ways of working developed to support program management

Health of relationships with cross functional partners

Responsiveness to changes in strategic landscape

What we’re looking for:
5-8 years of developing and leading strategic programs

Demonstrated ability to create, and manage against, multi dimensional project plans

Financial acumen and experience managing to business outcomes to ensure project success in execution and impact

Extremely comfortable in command of meetings simultaneously contributing to and facilitating the conversation

Demonstrated ability to distill information into actionable insights not just organized report outs

Capability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of partners and stakeholders, at various levels

Strong cross functional leverage and ability to influence without authority

Ability to balance business partnership with the need to exercise independent judgment and to raise issues in a timely and constructive manner

Deep understanding of operational processes and organizational ways of working
