Legal Office Manager

Direct Counsel is looking for a Legal Office Manager for growing boutique law firm in the Los Angeles area.

We are looking for someone who is sharp and comes from a legal background.

Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, Human Resources experience, has excellent management skills and has knowledge of utilizing Clio.

Responsibilities: Assists with hiring, training and assessment of staff.

Assigns, directs and monitors clerical workflow to ensure timely, accurate work.

Establishes a review system to measure the quality and quantity of work performed by the clerical staff and provides reports to Managing Attorney on a quarterly basis.

Addresses deficiencies as appropriate according to Company policy.

Establishes objectives for clerical staff to monitor performance and conducts timely performance evaluations and salary reviews according to Company policy.

Assists with projects, performs research and other duties as assigned.

Ensures that office calendar is maintained, ready for weekly calendar meetings and establishes procedures for keeping the calendar updated with added appearances during the week.

Responds to inquiries from insureds, claims personnel, opposing counsel, courts and others, as appropriate via phone, in person or via written correspondence.
