Short Description

CINELEASE, INC., the entertainment industry’s leader in lighting and grip equipment rentals servicing production companies throughout the US, owned by our publicly held Parent Company HERC Rentals, is seeking a Financial Analyst at their Corporate HQ in Los Angeles, CA.

Cinelease is the largest independent motion picture equipment rental house in the USA, with our company headquarters in Los Angeles and multiple branch locations throughout the country. Cinelease has serviced thousands of feature film and television productions with premier lighting and grip equipment and has built its reputation with over 40 years of exceptional service to the studios and independent production companies.

As a Financial Analyst, you will have an active role in the monthly reporting and analysis, ad hoc reporting, budgeting, forecasting and projection processes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tracking expenses and revenues vs. budget and forecast and analyze fluctuations
  • Preparing, distributing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensuring financial information has been recorded accurately
  • Assisting in the budget & forecast process
  • Performing reconciliation of internal accounts
  • Maintaining budget and forecast information in the accounting system
  • Evaluating profit and cost efficiencies in various areas of the organization as needed
  • Developing, maintaining and distributing ad-hoc reports and financial models as

Professional Experience

2-4 years of experience in field

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and IT. Data mining and report development is required

Knowledge of Accounting structures

Superior analytical, research and presentation ability

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) required across a diverse cross-functional environment

Intellectual curiosity is a must

Educational Background

Bachelor’s Degree – Accounting, Finance or Economics

Conditions of Employment

Travel may be required (5-10%)
