Manager, Emerging Content

We are seeking a Manager of Emerging Content to support original content development across the Meta Family of Apps. The ideal candidate is hyper-organized with proven experience in unscripted content development and production spanning genres, formats, and platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of media consumption patterns on mobile, social, and community-based platforms, a passion for content, culture, and idea generation, and expertise organizing and communicating information to all levels of internal and external stakeholders.The successful candidate will bring positivity, inclusivity, and strategic creative vision into the workplace, and be adept at navigating complex internal networks and policy considerations, while working with a vibrant community of producers and top-tier talent to deliver culturally relevant content across the Meta Family of Apps. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured and collaborative environment is critical.

Co-manage the development and production of original video content across surfaces, genres, and formatsServe as hands-on creative producer, working alongside the Head of Emerging Content to shepherd projects from internal development to pitch, deal, production, delivery, and publishing phasesWork collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment, managing info flow to key cross-functional stakeholders (i.e., marketing, business affairs, communications)Support the Head of Emerging Content, proactively sourcing and taking pitches, preparing briefs, presentations and trackers for internal + external stakeholdersresearching trends, assessing potential talent, and using data and insights to inform creative strategyServe as subject matter expert, mastering and synthesizing creative best practices across the Facebook Family of Apps, and providing thought leadership to both internal and external partnersShape and influence distribution, social, and marketing strategyBring curiosity, grit, creativity, empathy, and passion every day to the team and this role

5+ years experience in original content development/production at a network, studio, or agencyImpeccable communication skills, superior organizational and operational sense, and knowledge in Google Sheets, Docs, and SlidesExperience managing and prioritizing a high volume of projects with competing timelinesProven entertainment and creator industry relationships, knowledge for the intersection of content, culture, and technologyExperience thriving when faced with massive change, complexity and ambiguityHistory of self-initiated projects and success in fast-paced, iterative, semi-structured and collaborative environments

Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an entrepreneurial, high-expectation environmentExperience developing and/or executing immersive video formats (VR, Volumetric Video, 360-degree, etc.)Extensive knowledge of social media platforms, including current best practices and emerging content trendsTrack record of using data and insights to inform creative strategy and assess performanceExperience shaping distribution and publish strategy, and collaboration with marketing, communications, and social strategy team
