This role will start out as an individual contributor so you need to be willing to roll up your sleeves and be in the weeds!
You will be responsible for hiring and developing a team.ROLE OVERVIEW DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS ANALYTICSDeveloping a sales-focused data visualization tool to analyze and measure commercial KPIs and market trendsDrive the consistent application of Power BI across the organizationPartner with the VP of Sales and Marketing to analyze group and market data, identifying commercial opportunitiesAdvise and present ideas for new business opportunitiesUse your analytical, financial and commercial knowledge to understand the key drivers of the business, then provide clear insights and sales directionBe the Subject Matter Expert for sales data strategySupport M& A activitiesCoach and develop on-site support personnel in data analyticsSKILLS AND EXPERIENCEExpertise in data analytics: descriptive, diagnostic, and predictive, with a strong focus on data mining and working with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data.Expertise in developing and using the data visualization tool Power BI.Experience in building and maintaining Power BI databases, focusing on data analytics and output.Expertise in extracting complex data from multiple ERP systems.Experience in sales pipeline analysisKnowledgeable about and able to analyze and present on customer segmentation, pricing competitiveness and competitor assessment.Excellent levels of financial literacy and genuine skill in understanding KPIs and performance metrics required to measure and monitor progress in achieving objectives.
