Our LAX Star Alliance Lounge has won Five consecutive Skytrax Best Alliance Lounge Award 2015-2019 and the 2019 Star CEO Team Award.

This is a great role for someone who can manage multiple disciplines of leadership, customer service excellence, business processes, financial performance, and health & safety, all with a creative flair to shape the Lounge experience for our customers.Working in the LAX Star Alliance Lounge as part of the Air New Zealand whānau, you will encounter numerous customers on a daily basis and will also be responsible for leading a team of up to 20 contract staff on any given day.

Our lounge has welcomed up to 480,000 annually.

As such the ability to think creatively, build and manage our partner relationships will be key to your success.We are looking for candidates with the following strengths:Leadership & Culture in this role you will be responsible for leading a team of up to 72 contractors and will model an engaged and high-performing cultureCommercial Acumen you will bring a commercial perspective and be able to apply our business strategies and brand values to the Lounge contextDecision Making you will bring a considered approach to decisions, balancing different factors such as financial performance with customer experiencePortfolio Management You will be responsible for an assigned portfolio overseeing Customer Service Excellence training.RequirementsEntitled to work in the USA with US work authorization (citizens and green card holder) at the time of applicationHave reliable transportation to work with a preference for candidates who live near LAXExperience working with high-value customers in a hospitality, retail, hotel or tourism environmentLeadership experience, leading a team in a busy and changing environmentPassion for customer experience and creating great customer connectionsAbility to think quickly and creatively to solve problems considering both commercial and customer impacts.In this role, you will set high standards of performance with a commitment to ensure our customers have an excellent lounge and Air New Zealand experience.

We need someone who can hit the ground running and pick up new systems quickly.Shift RosterThis is a 12-month fixed term contract full-time position (40 hrs per week).

Rosters will consist of a combination of AM PM and Mid shifts including weekends.
