Physician / California / Locum or Permanent / Income Processing Associate Job

A financial services company in California is actively seeking a dedicated and analytical professional to join their staff as their new Income Processing Associate.

In this role, the Income Processing Associate will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of income, proceeds, reinvestments, stock splits, optional dividends, and spinoffs, received from various types of instruments and from various sources, to clients.

Responsibilities
The Income Processing Associate will:
Handle income-related corporate action events through the full lifecycle of these events
Mine dividend and interest data from service bureaus books and records 
Compare and analyze the two sets of data utilizing Excel to prepare data for the Income Processing Specialists
Pay dividends, interest, principal, maturity proceeds, broker claims, and various other charges from different entities
Monitor and resolve items in assigned dividend suspense accounts
Research and resolve open items
Offer high level of client service
Assist with processing proxy statements
Perform other tasks and duties as required and assigned
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
5+ years of experience
Knowledge of corporate action and income processing
Strong data management skills 
Proficient in SQL and very strong Excel skills (i.e.

V-Lookup, Visual Basics and Macros) 
Highly computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office
Excellent reconciliation and follow-up skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to prioritize daily work flow with little direction
Desired skills
Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related field
In-depth understanding of the systems utilized by the group (e.g., SunGard Phase 3, BETA, DTC PBS/PTS)
