Aethercomm is looking to fill a In Process Inspector I position.
Scope: The purpose of this standard procedure is to establish and define the functional role, requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, and measurements of performance of the In Process Inspector I at Aethercomm.
Responsible for inspecting boards, and wiring to IPC-A-610, Class 2, and Class 3.Provide backup support for mechanical inspection using mechanical tools such as calipers, height gages, optical comparator, pin gages, etc.Perform inspection to meet IPC-A-610, Class 2, and Class 3 hand soldering as well as surface mount components.Inspect mechanical hardware using drawings and specifications.Perform all electrical inspections to IPC-A-610 or mechanical inspections to released drawings, procedures, and specifications.Resolve discrepancies and communicate corrective actions per non-conforming material procedures.Work closely with engineering and other departments to resolve concerns.Complete the required inspection records, reports and transactions.Enter information in data entry spreadsheets for data collection purposes.Perform first-article inspections using the AS9102 form.Determine if product is non-conforming and document any non-conformances per company procedures.Ability to read and interpret drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM’s).Ensure all products manufactured and delivered meet the customer requirements.Ensure compliance to required ESD manufacturing environments including facility audits and employee training.Ensures company compliance in accordance with AS9100.Perform all other duties as assigned.

Experience with SMT soldering and related equipment.
Education/Experience:High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or IPC-A-610 and IPC-A 620 certificates with plus two or more years of related experience and/or training is required.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Language Ability:Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Good communication skills and attention to detail is required.
Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Must be able to work independently.
Computer Skills:Proficient with MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook), Epicor, and other related software for Quality Department.
