Staff Accountant Statutory Reporting Great Plains Insurance Point person for preparation of all annual and interim premium tax return filings.
Responsible for ensuring that all state specific required filings are completed timely and accurately.
Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual statement.
Prepare month-end journal entries including supporting worksheets and account reconciliation.
Variance Analysis.
Work on special projects and/or requests from management.
Staff Accountant ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS, EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE BS/BA degree in Accounting.
2-4 years experience as a Staff Accountant.
Property & Casualty insurance industry experience preferred.
Knowledge of Statutory Accounting preferred.
Experience with Great Plains software preferred.
Experience with The Complete Package preferred.
Experience with Premium Pro preferred.
Will be able to work with individuals at all levels, both inside and outside of the Company.
