Transportation SupervisorJob Description:Airline Coach Service (ACS) is a transportation company which was established in 1986 and since then has provided specialized service in providing airline ground transportation/shuttle service for various airports throughout the West Coast and East Coast of the United States.We are looking for a transportation supervisor to support the operations manager in providing effective and positive supervision and training of our transportation employees.
This position will be responsible for carrying out responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:Essential FunctionsSupervise daily operationsMonitor rest breaks and lunch breaks.
Fill in, as necessary.Monitor employee clock in/out.Manage training and support programsManage attendance reports.Ensure communication during shift changes.Approve leave requests.Participate in disciplinary actions.Ensure bus maintenance and proper completion of vehicles inspectionsMust be an effective problem solverMust have effective written and oral communication to maintain positive communication with employeesMust be able to conduct investigations of incidents and accident reportsMust be able to effectively provide driver trainingMust have good computer skillsMust be comfortable and knowledgeable about the use of smart phone applicationsMust be flexible and dependable with all shifts, filling in as a driver as neededThe individual may be required to stand and walk for 2/3 or more of the work shift.Individual may be required to lift 25 pounds or more for up to 2/3 of the work shift.The individual must be able to work in a high stress environment.Minimum RequirementsEducation:High school diploma or GED required.Qualifications – License(s) & Language(s)Must have a class B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsementMust have open availability to work any shift (Day/Swing/Grave/weekends)Selection ProcessEmployee performance of internal candidates will have a major impact on candidate evaluationAll candidates will be required to respond to supplemental questions (essay responses) to demonstrate written communication skills and other skills associated with the position by a set due dateCandidates may be disqualified due to previous/current performance, incomplete responses on the application, or due to incomplete or late responses to supplemental questions.
