The Senior Pricing Analysts will work closely with partners and Firm management.

Description

  • Develop models to evaluate the financial impact of alternative fee structures and other rate/fee agreements, working to ensure such arrangements meet both client and firm goals.
  • Collaborate with lawyers, practice management colleagues, and the marketing department to respond to RFPs, pitches, and other pricing proposals.
  • Work with partners to enter budgets and other fee arrangement data into online matter management tool, then monitor and provide regular status reports to partners and management.
  • Manage the data-mining process for new and existing matters. This includes gathering and maintaining information on fee arrangements, matter types, cost drivers, task coding, etc.
  • Work with the relevant stakeholders to ensure that client financial arrangements are properly articulated, updated, and documented in Firm’s pricing database.
  • Research and analyze client financial performance to help identify trends and propose solutions where needed.
  • Monitor compliance with Firm budgeting and pricing policies, as well as the financial aspects of client guidelines and terms; provide guidance to attorneys and support staff as needed.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports related to all aspects of practice management.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.

Profile

  • A minimum of three years of pricing analysis experience with a Law Firm
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with emphasis in areas of finance, cost, and pricing;
  • Understanding of accounting and business principles;
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills; the ability to project a polished, professional image, and communicate comfortably and confidently with all levels of personnel;
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with minimal supervision;
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
