Responsible for the revenue performance and production from all Repair Technicians within the location.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSApportions the service repair work among the Repair Technicians and determines best techniques and practices to be used for the work.Determines the type of repair materials, supplies, machine.ry, equipment and tools to be purchased and used within the repair location.Interviews Repair Technician candidates, assesses skill level and qualifications of potential team members and submits selected candidates for hire.Training of Repair Technicians and manages the certification process for team members.Oversees communication with other departments.Creates estimates and procures all needed parts for repairs.Sets and adjusts the work schedule and recommended rates of pay for Repair Technicians.Provides diagnostic guidance to Repair Technicians and ensures digital vehicle inspection compliance.Creates estimates and orders and controls the flow of parts and merchandise to the location as well as handles all merchandise return procedures.Appraises Repair Technician’s productivity and quality for the purpose of recommending promotions or disciplinary action.Oversees quality control of repairs performed and cleanliness of customer’s vehicles.Handles team member complaints and grievances, and delivers performance feedback/disciplinary action as appropriate.Responsible for the safety of the team members and property.Ensures internal and external legal and regulatory compliance.Maintains record keeping and performs other department managerial and administrative functions required to support the business.Note: May require travel to different locations on an as needed basis.KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSEffective verbal and written communication skills in the language(s) required for the role, as justified for business necessityEffective organization, interpersonal and negotiation skillsAbility to work scheduled hours as necessitated by business needStrong math and computer skills with experience using software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, browsers, and emailStrong Member service focusAutomotive/mechanical/diagnostic backgroundKnowledge of equipment/tool operation and diagnostic/repair proceduresEDUCATIONValid driver license and acceptable driving recordHigh School Diploma or equivalent certification (GED)3-5 years industry experience in auto repairAutomotive Service Excellence certification desiredMCC_RX
