Requirements:

  • Experience: 6-8 years’ in category management or insights related field. CPG industry experience required, and natural food and/or beverage industry experience is a plus.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required. MBA is a plus.
  • Travel: 5-10% local travel necessary for retailer and company meetings.

Job Description:

The Sales and Category Insights Manager will be at the forefront of driving change at GT’s by building new insights and tools to support the Sales and Marketing organizations. This individual will develop best-in-class data reporting, provide insights into category performance across key channels and retailers, track and provide reporting against Sales and Marketing KPIs and deliver actionable insights across our business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify opportunities to drive growth for our brand by weaving together multiple data resources (syndicated data, internal shipment data, shopper panel data, custom survey data).
  • Develop strategic selling stories for our key channels of business to help win in-market.
  • Responsibilities include: customer-specific category reviews, monthly SPINs reporting and void reports, new item launches and innovation support, competitive reviews, and ad hoc requests.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly collaborative and cross-functional, must be able to clearly articulate insights and be comfortable presenting to key stakeholders across the company.
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to simplify large amounts of data into simple selling stories
  • Organization; ability to effectively prioritize
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills
  • Critical thinking and analysis
  • Knowledge of and experience with space planning programs – JDA Space Planning, Apollo
  • Experience working directly with retailers and syndicated data systems (Nielsen, IRi, SPINs)
  • Proficient at Microsoft programs – PowerPoint, Excel, Word
