Team Lead Assembly

Job Summary: Assists team members in following standard work in order to meet goals with respect to Safety, Quality, and Production.

Assists with training employees, facilitates employee suggestions to the 2-second lean program, and stays in constant communication with supervisor.

Please note: Employees who are chosen for assembly team leader roles must be willing to learn about all assembly areas and will be required to work on the assembly line as the needs of the company require.

Position Prerequisite: Must meet the following requirements: 1.

Complies with all rules and regulations of Agri-Fab, Inc.

and actively contributes to workplace safety.

2.

Interacts in a positive and cooperative manner in all dealings with co-workers and management.

3.

Actively participates in training; stays current and in compliance with required annual safety training.

4.

Supports manufacturing improvement programs and initiatives.

Offers and helps implement improvement suggestions.

5.

Maintains a clean, orderly and safe working environment; wears and utilizes all PPE required for each job.

6.

Follows standard work and work instructions.

7.

Displays a high degree of attention to detail.

8.

Displays appropriate sense of urgency in communicating concerns (safety, quality, etc.).

9.

Cross-trains in order to perform all tasks in job rotation including working on a production line when needed.

10.

Works overtime, including weekends and holidays, as required.

11.

Ability to begin work shift at 5:00 a.m.

if setups are required and 5:30 a.m.

on other days to prepare for production startup.

This position will have overtime on a regular basis.

Essential Functions: Required but not limited to: 1.

Leads team meetings, daily, weekly, etc.

2.

Demonstrates sufficient technical proficiency to support operator performance and departmental goals.

3.

Helps ensure employees are properly trained.

4.

Monitors team member performance, work-station set-up, correct use of proper tools, etc., to assure adherence to safety, ergonomic and quality standards.

5.

Audits operator check sheets for proper part ID and assures parts meet all specifications as identified on prints and or process check sheet; includes traceability, internal move tickets, calibration of equipment, etc., as listed on Team Lead Standard Work.

Including the DSC check off sheet required for startup.

6.

Coordinates machine setups to maximize use of operators time.

7.

Orders parts from warehouse as needed.

8.

Verifies parts using work instructions or blueprints.

9.

Assures pieces and material received for processing and removed after processing are tagged with correct count and identification number, without multiple tags.

10.

Supports 6S initiatives and encourages improvements by using the iSii boards.

11.

Updates departmental boards; records reasons for results and acts on flow interrupters.

12.

Maintains and improves on own and operators standard work.

13.

May schedule operator work assignments.

14.

Works production or operates machines as needed.

15.

May fill in for supervisor.

16.

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly fashion.

17.

Meets or exceeds production rates and quality standards.

18.

Fork Truck certification may be required.

19.

Preferred assembly experience and knowledge of the production processes.

May be required to successfully complete Industrial Powered Vehicle certification, including any necessary hearing and/or vision testing.
