Now, about the opportunity: A mission critical role for Media Monks is the Director of Strategy.

In this role, you will lead both project-based marketing strategy assignments for clients, and serve as a strategy lead on three named accounts to identify opportunities for strategic partnership and client growth.

This is a role where you’ll partner with client teams, creative partners, account leads and other strategists to help clients achieve their business objectives with thoughtful marketing programs and impactful creative campaigns.

Our ideal candidate is a bright, self-starter who is unafraid to jump into new projects and take the lead.

In this role you will:

  • Lead development of the strategic deliverables noted above, including partnering with internal specialists (research and brand strategy as needed) and teams (account, creative), and writing program briefs
  • Serve as the Strategy partner for premium clients, understand the client’s technology and provide insights that will inform strategy or creative campaign work.

    Conduct guerilla research to get quick answers to steer program strategy

  • Facilitate effective brainstorming and ideation sessions with creative and client, turning ideas into actionable programs and/or products
  • Serve as the strategic lead on named accounts, keep a pulse on the client’s industry and account, and provide strategic resources, approaches, and thought leadership
  • Collaborate with account and creative leads to identify opportunities to grow client relationships and deepen strategy support on named accounts
  • Help support new business pitches, outline methodologies, scope potential strategy projects, and coordinate strategy resources resources to deliver on client needs

Experience you already have:

  • 6-8 years of progressive marketing experience, with a minimum of 2 years experience in strategic planning.
  • A mix of agency and in-house marketing expertise
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • You can work in English at the highest professional level.
  • Last but not least, you’re a joy to work with; you’re great with clients and coworkers alike and know how to inspire teams to go the extra mile
