Reporting to the Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the 800xA Human Machine Interface (HMI) and S800 Input / Output Control (I/O) at the customer facility.

This includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of proprietary ABB hardware and software, as well as assisting with any projects, upgrades, new installations, and advanced services.

This individual will be required to work independently or as part of a small site team to provide service for customers of ABB distributed control solutions.Your responsibilitiesPerform site operations that may involve unusual problems requiring strong technical skills.

Construct prototype models, as requestedConduct tests or experiments requiring selection and adaptation or modification of equipment and procedures.

Record, compile and reduce data for analysis and assist in related assessment and preparation of reportsTroubleshoot and repair equipment, applying own knowledge and experience to resolve problems.

Recommend changes such as new equipment or modified procedures to improve performance and customer satisfaction.

Conduct detailed inventories and inspections to determine necessary maintenance and repairsAssist in planning and coordinating team efforts.

Guide less experienced technicians and instruct them in proper and safe operation of equipment.

Often work non standard schedules at site with exposure to varying environmental conditionsAccurately document the work that is performed at a customer facility and/or project staging area.

Professionally document work completed on periodic preventive maintenance as well as intermittent corrective maintenance tasks.

Assist in planning and coordinating team efforts.
