The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a Software Engineer in the CodeAssist team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.
Here, you will make an impact by: Being an active member of an Agile team and by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development, code reviews and deployments.
You will develop solutions, software and components based in internal/external customer and business requirements.
You will contribute to Security and Risk assessments to aid in the deployment of application components in Production.
You will help resolve escalated internal customer support issues.
You will develop your own skillset through training and development opportunities and continue to grow with 3M.
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited university OR High School Diploma/GED or higher from an accredited institution and a minimum of four (4) of experience in the software industry in lieu of the bachelor’s degree education requirement One (1) year of Software Development Experience with one or more programming languages, including but not limited to Perl, Python, JavaScript in a private, public, government or military environment (Course work and internship experience considered) Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, or related discipline Experience with cloud architecture (AWS) and development of large scale hosted applications.
Experience with ECS, AWS Serverless, CloudFormation, Docker are a big plus.
Experience working in Agile environment with strong test automation and continuous deployment.
Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, AWS RDS, AWS Aurora.
Experience with web application security.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of what it means to have strong collaboration with teams through virtual work.
