Senior Director of Brand Marketing & Social Media (Decentralized Community

At Demand.io (https://demand.io), we build community-driven shopping experiences.

We believe in the power of community, decentralization and aligned incentives to deliver utility and authenticity in the e-commerce value chain.

We’ve built a network of shopping apps reaching over 10 million monthly consumers and driving over a billion dollars in annual transaction volume.

As an innovation lab, we obsess over underserved consumer pain points in e-commerce and design products that empower communities of people to make shopping smooth, rewarding and fun.

To illustrate how we work, in 2020 we created our newest app, SimplyCodes (https://simplycodes.com), to solve a major consumer problem ⏤ finding reliable coupons while shopping online.

In a world where you’re forced to choose between a more convenient way to get codes through a browser extension but lower quality coupons, or spending half your afternoon searching for a code that works, we believed there was a better way.

We empowered a community of shopping enthusiasts by rewarding them for contributing new coupons, ensuring accuracy of codes and ridding of ones that no longer work.

Now we’re the internet’s largest and most reliable source of coupons, with 4x the coverage of leading competitors.

In 2022, we’ll be decentralizing our community rewards program through a blockchain, DAO and social token to further empower our members and deliver product features that deliver that most value.

We apply the same community-first mindset to each of our products.

Whether we’re creating a better way to do influencer marketing (Favely.com) or building a more authentic, gamified platform for product reviews (Knoji.com), we take a community-first approach to innovation, product design and marketing.

We see blockchains and decentralization as key pillars of our product strategies to enable more effective ways to distribute value, co-ownership and participation outwards to our member communities.
