Job Summary:

The Product Data & Insights Manager will drive critical analytics projects for the Product Organization.

This individual will be responsible for managing the Product team’s data pipeline, translating raw data into actionable insights, and serving as the liaison with cross-department analytics and data engineering teams.

They will also feel comfortable recommending the capture of new data sources, explaining their value, and translating output into actionable steps to drive our business forward.

We are looking for a highly quantitative, detail-oriented self-starter who has a passion for working in a fast-paced environment with structured and unstructured datasets and is adaptable to change.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Serve as a data-centric, technical advisor to the entire Product Organization (incl.

    New Product Launch, Product Management, Customer Care, and Design teams)

  • Develop, execute, and manage a comprehensive data product roadmap that delivers data in a user-friendly format to stakeholders
  • Glean insights from disparate data sources and communicate findings to non-technical audiences
  • Collaborate with data engineers to capture new data sources + ensure integrity of existing sources
  • Mentor team members in data best practices + maintain the highest quality standards

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required: 

  • 3-5 years of experience in an analytics-focused role, ideally focused on CPG/retail
  • Proven track record of translating raw data into actionable insight, presenting to business stakeholders, and driving value for the business
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Knowledge of at least one programming language for data analysis (Python preferred)
  • Experience with business intelligence software (Looker preferred)
  • Familiarity with version control software (e.g.

    Github)

  • Enthusiasm for writing clean, readable code
  • Exposure to data science concepts (e.g.

    Natural Language Processing)

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred:

  • Experience with CPG/Retail
  • Familiarity with AWS (AWS certification a plus)
