Recently launched LA-based multi-media social network has an extraordinary career growth opportunity for an experienced, talented UI Designer to create amazing user experience/design.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience creating clean and artful design with superior UI skills, translating high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts, and transform those designs into beautiful, intuitive, and functional user interfaces inspiring engagement and conversion.
This is an ongoing Contract opportunity based in Century City/Los Angeles.
Project work will be completed as hybrid working in-office with Century City-based team and remote (at Contractor discretion).
Responsibilities
Audit existing live platform reviewing multi-media features requiring customer onboarding UIUX design elements
Collaborate with product management and engineering to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience
Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off for front-end development
Conceptualize original ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex design roadblocks
Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas
All design recommendations presented in FIGMA desktop/tablet/mobile
Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback
Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
Availability to work with team on project-by-project basis as platform engagement/traffic accelerates
Skills
Minimum five (5) years demonstrated professional UI experience
Portfolio of published UIUX design
Three professional references
Bold creative, collaborative and confident expertise/skills
Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, FIGMA and Sketch
Proficiency/familiarity in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for rapid prototyping.
Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
Ability to present your designs and sell your solutions to various stakeholders.
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies
BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Interaction Design, or related
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
College degree in graphic design or related
