Hiring Bonus for new team members hired before January 1, 2022 Covid-19 vaccination required.The Solano County Probation Department Mental Health Program utilizes a multi-disciplinary treatment and services model to support juvenile clients under Probation supervision with an array of evidence based services.
These services are designed to reduce the likelihood of the youth’s further involvement in the criminal justice system and enhance prosocial family and community connections.
Probation will partner ABWs Solano community-based program to create a co-located team model that is both comprehensive and mobile.
Services are delivered at multiple locations with two main community-based centers and an expansion of services at the juvenile detention facility.
These centers and the detention facility will serve as staff office space and service delivery locations.
Program staff will also provide services in locations throughout the county to ensure the ability to access services is not a barrier to treatment and support.
Services are informed by a community-based family preservation framework and provided to youth and their families placed under supervision and at risk of removal by Solano County Probation.
They include individual, group, crisis intervention and community-based mental health services to youth and their families.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The mental health clinician will conduct a mental health screening/assessment for youth that are referred from Solano County Juvenile Probation.The mental health clinician will obtain signed HIPPA Release of information, in addition to Consent to Receive Mental Health Services, and releases of information to collaborate with community public and private providers.The clinician will utilize the Brief Mental Health Assessment and Child and Adolescent Needs and Strengths inventory to determine a DSM-V Diagnosis.The mental health clinician will collaborate with the youth and parent to develop a treatment plan to address the youths mental health issuesThe mental health clinician will provide the on-site therapeutic mental health treatment services, family reunification services including individual, cognitive behavioral group, crisis, milieu support services and targeted case management to minors in custody at the Juvenile Detention Facility, and related re-entry or transitional services for juvenile clients in custody and preparing for return to the community.The mental health clinician will monitor the progress of direct and indirect mental health services provide to the youth and will report to assigned probation officerThe mental health clinician will communicate with the assigned probation officer and have case reviews as needed to discuss progress or make modifications to the youths treatment planThe mental health clinician will provide 30-day Progress Reports & Discharge Reports regarding the mental health treatment status of youth on the caseload.The mental health clinician will maintain and submit monthly data to the ABW Service Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS:Licensed or license eligible.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a Full-time position.
Days and hours of direct service work are:Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between 11 a.M.
and 7:00 p.M.Wednesdays 9 a.M.
to 5 p.M.
for staff meetings, supervision, and trainings.Schedules may vary depending on the hours of each center and are subject to change, with supervisor approval, to meet the business needs.TravelLocal travel to various worksites is required.Work Authorization/Security ClearanceEmployees must pass a background check and receive TB and health clearances prior to employment.
